Meet your teacher
Val Clark first discovered Pilates 12 years ago. At the time
she had a full-on job owning and running a successful hotel, and found the invigorating Pilates system to be of huge benefit both mentally and physically.

She describes herself as being ‘an ordinary person with an average body’ who found that Pilates improved her strength, mobility and flexibility, restoring the body to balance.
Val went on to study Pilates at the hallowed Scott Studio, Castle Cary and is now a full time
Matwork teacher and a member of The Pilates Foundation.

As well as the keep fit and remedial aspect of Pilates for those with back problems and injuries, she is especially interested in the mind / body relationship and the transformational effect Pilates can have on an individual’s overall well being.
Her teaching focuses on reversing negative thinking and improving self-confidence, as well as increasing muscle and skeletal mobility.
She specialises in working with stressed and menopausal women. And is dedicated to using her knowledge of Pilates to show women (and indeed men) of a certain age how they can become more, not less relaxed and supple with the passing years.
Pilates Foundation teachers like Val are recognized by the NHS in its directory of
Health and Service Providers.
IMPORTANT Please be sure to let Val know of any injuries or medical conditions that may effect your ability to exercise. Ditto if you are pregnant, or a new Mum. It is advisable to check with your GP before starting Pilates classes. Please bring along a note explaining any medical conditions.
